George M. Lindley of Crawfordsville, age 84, died Wednesday evening, July 27 1953 in Culver Hospital at Crawfordsville. He was born in Parke County, August 8, 1898 the son of Samuel and Ella Swaim Lindley, November 26, 1937 he married Mary M. Shular who survives. A birthright member of Friends Church, he attended Kingman school and was a retired mail contractor. Also surviving are a daughter, Barbara Webster of Yucca Valley, Calif; a son, John C. of Crawfordsville; a foster daughter Velma Sample of RR Kingman; a sister, Ruth Pickard of Rockville; 4 grandchildren and 5 foster grandchildren. Funeral services were held Saturday morning at Powers Funeral Home, Crawfordsville. Burial in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery.
